Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus)

The Koala is an iconic Australian marsupial known for its fluffy ears, button nose, and uniquely sedentary lifestyle. Often affectionately referred to as a “koala bear,” this arboreal herbivore is actually not a bear at all, but rather a member of the marsupial family, closely related to kangaroos and wombats. Koalas are primarily found in the eucalyptus forests of eastern and southeastern Australia, where they spend most of their lives perched in trees.

Physical Characteristics:
